A2, CNN exclusive news channel affiliate, has officially announced it has started hiring in Albania. A2 is currently looking for several positions, including reporters and news editors, cameramen, video editors, producers and other media professionals.

A2, which is the CNN exclusive news channel affiliate in Albania, is scheduled to go live by the end of 2018, and is currently in the process of acquiring state of the art technology which will be installed in its existing headquarters office and studios in the ABA Business Center in Tirana.
The strong cooperation between CNN and A2 news channel, is expected to have an impact on the Albanian media market, according to Roland Nikolaou, which is Senior Director for Partnerships for Europe, Middle East and Africa for CNN International Commercial.
Nikolaou explained CNN’s strategy to build a global affiliate network, expanding its content, independent views and journalism standards all over the world. “We have decided to partner up with Gener 2 to launch A2 news channel, which will be our exclusive partner in Albania,” Nikolaou said in a recent visit in Tirana.
Nikolaou noted CNN will support A2 in several ways, including training the staff and empowering local news production with CNN standards and practices. A series of trainings for A2 team have been scheduled over 2018 to take place in the United States, United Kingdom and Albania, with international and regional experts.
A2 will primary produce local news for Albanian-speaking audiences, but it will closely cooperate with the CNN network in content sharing. While CNN-produced content will be delivered to Albanian audiences through A2, the latter will also provide local news for CNN International.
A2 news channel, established as an exclusive partnership between Cable News Network (CNN) and Albanian company Gener 2, was first announced in February 2018.
A2 news channel will be located in Tirana with supportive news centers in other Albanian cities and neighboring countries.
